I’ll use MoneySavingExpert.com as an example again. The site has over 154,000 likes on its Facebook page and it connects with the audience by sharing links to content but also asking money-saving/budgeting related questions. The highly engaged readers then visit the website, where they read content and no doubt make purchases.
That way, if you decide to write a review to promote it or send the affiliate link for the product’s sales page to your email list, etc., you will have first-hand knowledge of how it works. This will help you to decide it the product has real value pertaining to your niche. I, personally, won’t sell anything I haven’t tried myself to be sure they work as advertised. Selling just to make money with no real value is a sure way to lose customers and ultimately destroy your business. Bad reputations are hard to get rid of once you get one, especially when there’s money involved. With that being said, I hope you all have a great holiday season.
One of the best things about this site is that you will find a merchant who you can promote his goods or services easily. This is because the program has very many merchants who need their products to be marketed.
2. I’ve been slowly building social profiles on Instagram and Facebook, and I want to use them for affiliate sales without a site, Could I use ShareAsale for that purpose or do I have to have a site per niche I’m targeting ?
Affiliate marketing is great to make money in short span of time. You only need few things a loyal readers and rabbit followings of subscribers or followers. Adsense is also good but if you compare adsense income vs affiliate income you feel that affiliate is best.
Another affiliate program for women bloggers, ShopHer enables female bloggers to earn a revenue by any business generated from their site. Payments are only paid out when a minimum of $50 is reached. Payments are made by PayPal or by check.
I stumbled upon your site while looking for a honest comparison between Clickbank and CJ affiliates. I must say you have some pretty solid information.. So Amazon is the best start for a newbie, as opposed to Clickbank, CJ or shareasale?
I just tried to sign up for the Ebates Affiliate program but an application does not exist under the link provided on the Ebates website. When I tried to leave an inquiry I got an error message. I love Ebates and would like to join the program, but it does not seem possible. Any suggestions?
My quest is to find out the highest and quickest paying affiliate programs. I’ve been told that some pay the very same day through PayPal, etc. Do you know any of these types of companies that you could share with me?
Products that don’t fall into those two categories are usually either infoproducts (like Venus Factor) or workout programs (like P90X), which can also be profitable but don’t necessarily represent the product variety that supplements and equipment might.
Will my target audience realistically buy this product? Put yourself in your audience’s shoes. What are they most likely to buy? If your blog is mainly about frugal living, your readers probably aren’t going to buy luxury products, so promoting high-end clothing might not work so well.

In the infancy of affiliate marketing, many Internet users held negative opinions due to the tendency of affiliates to use spam to promote the programs in which they were enrolled.[27] As affiliate marketing matured, many affiliate merchants have refined their terms and conditions to prohibit affiliates from spamming.
You have lay out the basis and the next step is how to increase your readership. your site ranking, i think that is where new bloggers gave up. thanks for the guide, i believe it will really help bloggers.
Brilliant write up there, at least beginning bloggers can get to know more about affiliate marketing and how profitable it is. On my blog I talked about way bloggers make money and affiliate marketing was one of them. Thanks for this post once again. Jude
Tip 4: If you’re a beginner, it’s important that you realize it make take more than a few days before you start making sales. While it is possible to earn affiliate commissions with Amazon within a few days of creating a campaign, realistically you shouldn’t expect to start making sales within the first 14-30 days. It takes time for your website to carve out a space on the internet. However, if you are determined and post 1 new blog post and 1 new video each day for your first 30 days, you hold a way higher chance of earning affiliate commissions within the first 30 days.
Reach out to the affiliate manager. Most programs have at least one person tasked with managing affiliates. Don’t spam, don’t whine and don’t badger them, but make a personal connection with them if you can.

Discover How To Increase Your Commissions by 200%
Great article! I set up my store site today, after planning it for a year. Amazon was my choice because in the pst I did well with them. Amazon is CLOSING their program in October :(. Every affiliate program for big retailers pays low commission plus doesn’t have the items I want to promote. I’m majorly disappointed in Amazon.
Organifi is a food supplement company that offers a subscription-based model for their products. They’ve created a whole range of whole-food plant-based supplements, from their flagship “GREEN JUICE” powder to complete protein and probiotic supplements.
Thanks for this complete post about affiliate network , I will just add more thing just about choose of traffic coming, I have one account in Amazon in British and really is difficult to make sure that you will make money with this account in UK I think is more difficult to sell than US; Thanks again for putting all together.
Hi Jamie! Thank you for the great information. I just learned about affiliate marketing last week. The source however, is an older couple who work for World Wide Dreams Builders (WWDB). So, basically Amway. After researching a bit. I have no interest in WWDB and. (It sounds like years of recruiting people with minimal payout) Though, I am highly intrigued by e-commerce and affiliate marketing. Before your post the company I recognized was Amazon. Can you please tell me if that will be the best 1st step. I am currently an unemployed student Veteran. So plan to fully emerge into this business regime and would greatly appreciate your advice on this!!!
So, I have an iPhone 8. I do not have my own computer, however I do have access to libraries of course so I could use a library computer if that’s is the best option. Can affiliate marketing be accomplished on a phone? Until a personal computer is acquired?
Some categories made it out intact–staying around 8%–and some even got a boost (luxury beauty, for example, is now at 10%). Most categories, however, got cut, especially for affiliates who were consistently hitting the 8.5% commissions tier. Many got reduced to 4.5% or lower, and a few (like wine) even got reduced to 0%.
Really, I read somethings similiar your article on somewhere in internet.. That’s good tips but according me, for beginners, these are so difficult for apply. The supervisor affiliaters always have their own secrect. Can you helping the newbie clearly? Step by step and can be understand easily? Thanks so much for this article!!
Myth #3: Affiliate marketing is passive income. Affiliate marketing approaches passive income, but only once you’ve put in a great deal of work on the front end. If you take the time to build trust among your audience, there does come a point when affiliate marketing becomes almost passive.
Be an affiliate marketer for offline merchants as well. We’ve all seen brick & mortar businesses offer a discount to those who provide a referral. If you have a local blog and promote the products or services of a local business, ask them how you can be included in their referral program.
Affiliate marketing isn’t easy, and it won’t make you rich overnight. But if you align yourself with the right product, receive the right training and execute on what you’ve learnt, there’s no limit to what you can achieve.
It’s a bit of a set back, but I think you can still make decent cash on Amazon if you target the right products. I’ve seen a dip in income of around 10 to 15%, but this just makes me more determined to get more traffic. More traffic = more clicks = more Amazon commission.
Perrin, you tired me out just thinking about the organising and writing this monster. What about isolating those programs that specialise in recurring income eg Boxes. Is it difficult to become and an AA these days. More importantly is it worthwhile going out on this arduous journey with a landlord that seems to want to do you over at any opportunity. Thanks
This is a big, general sporting goods store that sells pretty much everything. It offers a 5% commission, which barely edges out Amazon’s 4.5% on sporting goods, which may or may not be wroth it depending on Modell’s average order size, etc.
Be sure to check what kind of customer support you can expect from your affiliate program once you have signed up. Do your research online and if possible, speak to other sellers using the program to get their thoughts. Can you speak to someone via phone or Skype or do you have to wait 72 hours for email responses? Be clear on this because trust me, you will need support at one point or another.
Wow, this is great info. I lucked out a bit…or maybe it wasn’t quite as bad as I initially thought, as many of mine are classified as home. But, some of my items and the jointly bought items took a hit. I really do miss the variable pricing. Thanks for the tips. There are 2-3 that I’m going to check out real soon.
